Two men, Shaikiem Bristol (31) and Musa Omar (22), were arrested in Missouri after seven children, aged 2 to 13, were found in the back of a U-Haul box truck during a traffic stop on I-44. The children were discovered in unsafe conditions, with dirty diapers and in excessive heat, as there was no air conditioning in the cargo area. Bristol claimed they were en route to Buffalo, New York, after picking up a girl from Glendale, Arizona, whose mother was kicking her out. Authorities noted conflicting stories from the occupants, leading to their arrest. Both men face seven counts of first-degree endangering the welfare of a child.
