The University of Florida (UF) has launched a new online Bachelor of Arts in Education program focused on early childhood education to address the significant teacher shortage in the state, particularly in early childhood and special education. Starting in August, the program is designed to help fill the 5,000 vacant teaching positions by offering flexible scheduling, making it accessible for students across Florida. The degree includes a Prekindergarten Disabilities Endorsement, highlighting UF’s commitment to meeting critical educational needs in the community. Graduates can quickly enter the workforce upon certification, contributing to local schools.
