Burdick notes that childcare has evolved, with increased pressures on families leading to less playtime for children. She advocates for allowing larger blocks of playtime to foster development. Her favorite part of the job is helping children solve problems and witnessing their “light bulb” moments, reinforcing her belief in the capabilities of young learners when provided the right environment.
