Eating Fish During Pregnancy Linked to Lower Autism Risk in Children, Study Finds

A recent study published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition suggests that consuming fish during pregnancy may reduce the likelihood of a child being diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) by about 20%, particularly in females, and may slightly reduce autism-related traits. However, omega-3 supplements did not show the same benefits. ASD is a neurodevelopmental condition characterized by social communication challenges and restricted behaviors, with symptoms varying widely in severity.
