The city’s magnet program for “gifted and talented” students at School 28 has been ranked New Jersey’s top elementary and middle school by U.S. News & World Report. This marks a repeat of its 2021 achievement and adds to its previous accolades, including being named a “blue ribbon school” by the U.S. Department of Education in 2018 and a “distinguished school” by state officials in 2016. Principal Nancy Castro expressed gratitude for the recognition, attributing the success to the hard work and dedication of the entire school community.
