17 Baton Rouge High Students Selected for Prestigious National Honor

Nearly 20 students from Baton Rouge Magnet High School have been selected as candidates for the prestigious U.S. Presidential Scholars Program, marking the highest number of nominees from any Louisiana school this year.
The 17 students recognized by the U.S. Department of Education are:

🔹 Michael Shi
🔹 Dhruva Sonti
🔹 Tejasvi Tyagi
🔹 Sydni Wheeler
🔹 Ryan Wilson
🔹 Spencer Yan
Last year, two Baton Rouge students—Episcopal High School’s Kathy Hu and Baton Rouge High’s Brandon Lin—earned the prestigious title of U.S. Presidential Scholars.
The U.S. Presidential Scholars Program, established in 1964, recognizes some of the nation’s most distinguished high school seniors, selecting over 161 students annually for this honor.
