Despite starting with two negative years in 2007 and 2008, Smolinski has consistently posted positive returns over his 16-year trading career. His lowest return since then was 13.78% in 2018, and between 2018 and 2022, he averaged a 24.6% return, surpassing the S&P 500 index, which averaged nearly 12% over the same period. Smolinski’s strongest year was 2013, with a remarkable 52% return. As of September 2023, he had a seven-figure account balance.
