Allow IRS teaching in schools, NSCIA tells southern governors

The Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs has urged governors in the southern part of the country to allow the teaching of Islamic Religious Studies in schools. The NSCIA, under the leadership of its President-General, the Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Muhammad Abubakar, made the call following the reintroduction of Christian Religious Studies in primary and secondary schools by the Governor of Katsina State, Dr Dikko Radda.
