West Virginia ranks near bottom of the nation in new study on educational innovation

A new report from the nonprofit organization SmileHub places West Virginia near the bottom in a national study measuring educational innovation across all 50 states. SmileHub compared states using 14 factors, including the number of education-focused charities, test-optional universities, adoption of K-12 computer science policies, and availability of creative learning spaces. The rankings aim to highlight which states are advancing in education and which face greater challenges.
