When we were children, back when we had no cellphones and no way to contact our parents whenever we wanted, the fear of being forgotten by our parents lurked in every corner. Every time your parents were more than 5 minutes late to pick you up, your tiny little mind would already convince you that they had forgotten all about you, and you were going to have to learn how to live in the wild. Thankfully, in most cases, your parents never actually forget about you, and you get picked up and returned home safe and sound.
