Chace was seven years old when he was diagnosed with medulloblastoma, a cancerous brain tumour, which required immediate surgery and follow-up care. The life-saving surgery at Birmingham Children’s Hospital in 2021 left him paralysed, cognitively impaired and unable to swallow or speak.
