The Ogun State Government has launched an investigation into reports that nursing mothers were being charged between ₦500 and ₦2,000 before their babies could receive routine vaccinations. Health officials say the practice is illegal and unacceptable. The Commissioner for Health, Dr Tomi Coker, has summoned officers in charge of the affected health facilities as part of ongoing disciplinary action.
