“Santa Claus” Among 11 Arrested in Kenner Child Exploitation Sting Operation

Authorities in Kenner, Louisiana, have arrested 11 men, including a 75-year-old man legally named Santa Claus, during an undercover operation targeting alleged child exploitation online.

Kenner Police said the arrests followed a weekend sting led by its Cyber Crimes Unit. The operation focused on identifying individuals attempting to engage in illegal activity involving children through digital platforms.

Officials said the suspect known as Santa Claus was arrested after allegedly using a dating application to contact someone he believed was a 15-year-old boy. The account was operated by an undercover detective.

Investigators added that he later discussed engaging in sexual activity and arranged an in-person meeting in Kenner. He was arrested at the agreed location without incident.

Police stated that the suspect now faces charges including indecent behavior with a child and computer-aided solicitation of a child.

Authorities confirmed that 10 other men were also arrested during the same operation, while additional suspects remain wanted. The cases involve individuals from several locations, including New Orleans, Kenner, Baton Rouge and surrounding communities.

Kenner Police Chief Keith Conley warned that children remain highly vulnerable online, especially on social media and gaming platforms. He stressed that law enforcement continues to monitor digital spaces used to target young people.

From a child protection perspective, officials say the operation highlights growing risks children face in online environments. Authorities are urging parents and guardians to closely supervise children’s digital interactions.

Police added that investigations will continue, with further arrests expected as efforts intensify to identify and prevent child exploitation attempts online.
