In separate incidents, two babies have been discovered abandoned in Kurudu and Gwagwalada areas of Abuja, which has led to investigations by the police into the circumstances surrounding the abandonment of the babies. The Federal Capital Territory Police Command stated that both incidents happened on Wednesday, 2nd September, 2026. Police Public Relations Officer, SP Josephine Adeh, revealed this in a statement.
