Delta State: Teen Accidentally Shoots and Kills Younger Sister
A heartbreaking event unfolded in Delta State, where a 16-year-old boy accidentally shot and killed his younger sister while handling their father’s firearm. The tragic news was confirmed by Delta State Police PRO, Bright Edafe, in a statement on X.
According to Edafe, the father, who claims to be a hunter, admitted that his teenage son regularly played with the weapon. On the day of the incident, the boy was reportedly playing with the gun when it discharged, fatally striking his sister.
“This is so sad,” Edafe posted. “I pray and hope I don’t have to bring this kind of report to you again.”
The police have not yet released the names of the family members or provided further details.
