A 100-level Biology student at Federal University Lokoja, Jeremiah Paul, has been arrested by the Kogi State Police Command for the death of his female colleague, Abigail Damilola. Paul confessed to kidnapping Damilola, demanding a N400,000 ransom from her family, and then killing her in an uncompleted building after receiving the ransom. The suspect is reportedly from Kaduna State.
After receiving a ransom of N400,000, Jeremiah Paul contacted Abigail Damilola’s family again, demanding an additional N10 million. He was subsequently arrested by the police. During interrogation, Jeremiah claimed he acted alone and denied mutilating Damilola’s body, although police evidence suggested otherwise. He stated that he killed her to prevent her from identifying him and escaping.
