Midnight Disappearance Triggers AMBER Alert as 3-Year-Old Reported Missing from Arizona Home

A late-night disappearance has sparked fear and urgency in Arizona after a 3-year-old girl was reportedly taken from her home, prompting an active AMBER Alert and an intense multi-agency search to bring her back safely.

Authorities in Arizona are urgently searching for 3-year-old Kehlani Rogers, who was reported missing from her home near 118th Avenue and Thomas Road in Avondale at approximately 11:30 p.m. on Friday.

According to the Avondale Police Department, the child is believed to have been taken by 23-year-old Mariana Noriega, who was later seen with Kehlani in Maricopa. An AMBER Alert has been issued as authorities continue coordinated search efforts across the region.

Police described Kehlani as 3 feet 5 inches tall with a thin build, brown braided hair and brown eyes. Surveillance footage reportedly captured the suspect and the child together at a local business.

From a child protection perspective, the case raises urgent safeguarding concerns. Authorities confirmed that Noriega is not a family member. A relative told local media that she had been staying at the home after being offered help. Investigators say there was no prior conversation or consent for the child to be taken, heightening fears for her safety.

Law enforcement agencies and hospitals have been notified, but no confirmed sightings have been reported since the footage in Maricopa.

Child safety experts stress that immediate reporting, community vigilance and strong household safeguarding practices are critical in preventing and responding to such incidents. As the search continues, officials are urging the public to remain alert and report any information that could help locate Kehlani and ensure her safe return.
