Mother Detained but Silent as Search Continues for Missing 10-Year-Old

Authorities are urgently searching for 10-year-old Gabrielle “Gabby” Terrelonge, who has not been seen since June 21, months before her mother, Passha Davis (34), was arrested in October for providing false identification during a shoplifting investigation in Margate, Florida.
Davis, who is homeless and has a documented history of mental health struggles, denied her identity and did not disclose Gabby’s whereabouts when questioned by police. She was later rearrested and charged with child neglect after investigators found no trace of the child and no explanation for when she was last seen.
Family members say they have long been concerned about Gabby’s safety. In 2024, a relative discovered the child sleeping on cardboard in an alley. Attempts to secure temporary custody were unsuccessful, and the family says state child protection services failed to intervene.
Now, with FBI, FDLE, and Margate Police involved, Gabby has been added to the FBI’s Kidnappings & Missing Persons database as investigators search for any information that may lead to her.
Her father told authorities he had not seen her since May. The child’s current whereabouts remain unknown.
Gabby’s disappearance highlights the urgent obligation to uphold every child’s fundamental right to safety, protection, and proper care, as affirmed under the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child.
