Ogun School Denies Pupil Incision Allegations, DSS Probes Case

The management of a private school in the Arepo area of Ogun State has refuted claims by some parents that incisions were made on their children while in school.
Parents alleged that the incisions resulted in health complications. Abosede, the mother of four-year-old Alamin, stated that she discovered a mark on his stomach after he complained of persistent itching. Similarly, Oluwatoyin Adurogboye noticed changes in her three-year-old daughter, Karla, who later fell ill.
In response, the school’s Director, Abimbola Olawunmi, denied the allegations, insisting there was no evidence that the incisions occurred within the school. She highlighted that CCTV footage showed no suspicious activity and that a power outage affected some recordings.
The parents have involved the Department of State Services (DSS), which has begun an investigation into the matter. Officials of the Ogun State Ministry of Education also attempted to lock the school, but the management resisted.
