Private LA school ‘kissing club’ was hive of bullying and sexual assault, lawsuit claims

A lawsuit filed in Los Angeles claims that a well-known private school in Chatsworth failed to protect its elementary-age students after older children allegedly organized a “kissing club” that turned into repeated incidents of harassment and inappropriate conduct.
According to the complaint, a 7-year-old girl—identified only by her initials—was pressured by older girls to participate in kissing and unwanted touching. The alleged behavior took place mostly in school bathrooms, areas where supervision was reportedly limited. Some of the older students are accused of recording the encounters on their phones.
The child’s mother says she notified the school about bullying concerns and specifically asked administrators to improve bathroom monitoring, but she alleges that little action was taken. The lawsuit also claims that when staff eventually discovered video recordings of the incidents, the response was mishandled and failed to prioritize student safety.
The legal filing accuses the school of not having proper protocols for handling sexual misconduct among students, not adequately training employees, and failing to protect the child—harm that the family says has caused lasting emotional damage. The school had not issued a public response to the allegations at the time the lawsuit was filed.
