11-Year-Old Girl Commits Suicide For Being Bullied After Parents’ Deportation

Jocelynn Rojo Carranza, an 11-year-old sixth grader reportedly took her life after experiencing months of relentless bullying from her sixth grade classmates over her family’s immigration status, with some students even threatening to contact the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
Her death, in Texas, United States, has sparked outrage on social media, especially on Elon Musk’s X with some Americans blaming Republicans for breeding a hateful and toxic American system.
On February 3, Carranza’s single mother, Marbella Carranza, received a call notifying her that her daughter had attempted to take her life inside the family’s home in Gainesville, Texas.
