A 15-year-old boy has been charged with second-degree murder in the stabbing death of a 13-year-old girl in Powell, Tennessee. The girl’s body was discovered on a trail on Tuesday afternoon. Though her identity has not been released, court records indicate she was stabbed multiple times with a pocketknife during an interaction with the suspect shortly after midnight. The boy left the scene without notifying anyone, and the body was later found by passersby. The suspect was arrested and had his first court appearance on Wednesday, where he was appointed an attorney, and a second appearance on Thursday. He is currently being held without bond, with no trial date set yet, but he is expected back in court next week.
