The owner of a North Carolina day care has released a statement after a 4-year-old was bitten by a copperhead snake while in the day care’s custody. The 4-year-old’s family said he was taken to the hospital Sept. 4 after they picked him up from New Beginnings Child Enrichment Center, located on Old Mountain Road, and discovered he had been bitten near his finger.
