February 7 2024- In 2023, the education system in the State underwent a significant transformation, with the government focusing on grooming students as global citizens. The School Education Department launched various initiatives as part of the reforms, including improving physical infrastructure in over 44,000 state-run schools through the “Mana Badi Nadu-Nedu” program. The digital transformation of traditional classrooms was also emphasized. Several schemes, such as Jagananna Amma Vodi, Vidya Kanuka, and Gorumudda, were implemented to enhance learning outcomes in government schools. In Andhra Pradesh, there are a total of 58,950 schools, with over 72 lakh students guided by around 2.96 lakh teachers, including 1,85,023 in government schools.
