On Tuesday, Edgewood residents questioned Kenton County School District officials, city representatives, and engineers about plans to improve a problematic intersection near RC Hinsdale Elementary. The proposed $1.2 to $1.5 million project aims to enhance safety and traffic flow by adding parking at the school, straightening and aligning Dudley Road with Tupman Drive, and adding turn lanes and a crosswalk at the intersection of Tupman Drive and Charter Oak Road. This joint venture between the city and school district is set to begin construction in October 2024, with completion expected by Fall 2025. The improvements are intended to alleviate traffic issues and enhance safety for students and local residents.
