A former Bay Shore teacher described by prosecutors as “one of the worst child predators” in the county’s history has been sentenced to up to 50 years in prison after being convicted of sexually abusing multiple children. Thomas Bernagozzi, 77, was found guilty on several charges, including sexual conduct against a child, sodomy, and possession of child sexual abuse material linked to victims as young as four years old.
