A former Mississippi teacher once celebrated as “Teacher of the Year” and later promoted to assistant principal has been arrested on allegations of child sexual abuse. Police in Ocean Springs say Olivia Marie Smith is facing charges of sexual battery and enticement of a child to meet for sexual purposes after school officials alerted investigators to the allegations in June.
