Gaza Children Find Hope in Makeshift Swimming Pools After Years of War

Hundreds of children in Gaza are returning to swimming lessons for the first time in three years, finding rare moments of joy and healing amid the devastation of war. Held in makeshift sea pools built from sandbags and rubble, the classes provide children with a safe space to play, build confidence, and briefly escape the trauma of conflict, which has disrupted education, destroyed recreational spaces, and left many living in constant fear.
