New numbers from the Virginia Department of Education show that more students are learning at home this fall, while public school enrollment continues to shrink. Homeschooling surged during the pandemic in 2020, when many parents pulled their children out of public schools. Enrollment dipped in the years that followed, but the latest data show another uptick for the 2024–2025 school year.
