A 39-year-old woman was arrested Monday morning after authorities say she beat her daughter with a belt during a dispute over household chores. Homestead police said officers responded around 10 a.m. to a home near the 2000 block of Southeast 17th Avenue after receiving a report of a female allegedly assaulting a child.
