March 5 2024- A recent survey from INTOO and Workplace Intelligence reveals that nearly half of Gen Z workers believe they receive better career advice from ChatGPT than from their human managers. The study also found that 44% of Gen Z employees expect to quit their jobs within six months due to frustration with their managers. Employee satisfaction and loyalty are identified as closely tied to the support and investment companies provide. Career development is considered a crucial aspect, and employees, especially Gen Z, feel their managers fall short in this area. INTOO’s Chief Revenue Officer, Mira Greenland, suggests that even small gestures like recommending podcasts or Slack channels can positively impact employee impressions. Additionally, Greenland emphasizes the need for companies to ensure managers possess developed skills before helping their team members, suggesting investment in training, workshops, and external coaching.
