The Monongalia County Sheriff’s Office has begun enforcing a new initiative to enforce school bus safety as students head back to school. The initiative “increases patrols to enforce traffic laws and prevent careless driving,” according to the department. The initiative got off to a fast start this week as one driver was cited on Tuesday for illegally passing a school bus in Morgantown.
