NANS threatens protest over Ramadan school closure in Northern states

The National Association of Nigerian Students has threatened to embark on nationwide protests if the governors of Bauchi, Katsina, Kano, and Kebbi states do not reverse their decision to close down schools for five weeks for the Ramadan fast within 72 hours. NANS, in a statement on Monday by its National Public Relations Officer, Samson Adeyemi, described the closure as an infringement on the right of every student to uninterrupted education.
