Lecturers at Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko, Ondo State, have commenced an indefinite strike over alleged non-payment of salary arrears by the state government. The industrial action, declared under the auspices of the Academic Staff Union of Universities, followed resolutions reached at the union’s congress held on Thursday, August 21, 2025. The decision was announced in a statement on Sunday by the Chairman and Secretary of ASUU-AAUA, Dr. Boluwaji Oshodi and Dr. Olusegun Taiwo, respectively, titled “Withdrawal of Services.”
