The Coordinator of the Office of the First Lady of Akwa Ibom State, Mrs. Helen Eno Obareki, has disclosed that over 200 cases of child abuse and exploitation have been prosecuted in various courts across the state since May 2023, under the strict enforcement of the Child Rights Law passed by the State House of Assembly. She also revealed that more than 800 orphans and vulnerable children are currently being cared for in state-run orphanages.
