Parents and guardians have been identified as key players in supporting children with hearing loss. This was stressed at a family curriculum workshop organised by MED-EL Africa, in collaboration with the National Ear Centre, Kaduna, and Khalifa Medical and Hearing Limited. The workshop was aimed at equipping parents and guardians of children with hearing loss, especially those using cochlear implants and other hearing devices, with practical skills and strategies to support their children at home.
