Three children abducted by their father early Wednesday morning have been safely located, according to Richmond police. Officers responded to the Quality Inn & Suites on National Road East around 1:26 a.m. after reports that 37-year-old Donovan Simmons Sr. had taken his three children and left in a black Dodge Ram. Authorities quickly issued an alert, and the vehicle was later found by the Seymour Police Department. The children were safely recovered at approximately 2:53 a.m., and Simmons was taken into custody.
