Teen Defies Father’s Demand for Honor Killing of Sister in Germany

A chilling case in Cuxhaven, Germany, has revealed the harrowing ordeal of a 17-year-old boy who defied his father’s demand to kill his own sister in an “honor” crime.

According to Bild, the father, a 46-year-old migrant named Ali, commanded his son to take his sister’s life after discovering she had saved a boy’s phone number, an act he considered a violation worthy of death.

“He looked at me with a cold stare,” the boy told police. “Then he said, ‘You have to kill her. Make it look like an accident. No one must know that she insulted my honor.’”

Instead of obeying, the teenager locked the doors, protected his sister, and went to the police. Investigators have praised the boy’s extraordinary courage in rejecting his father’s brutal orders, noting that he placed human dignity above the demands of fear and violence.

The family’s home life, however, was marked by years of abuse. The daughter, now speaking out publicly, revealed that their father regularly beat them, forbade them from speaking to boys, and imposed suffocating restrictions.

“For five years, my father has been beating us daughters,” she said. “Once I took a photo of an ice cream, and because my hand was in the picture, he made me delete it immediately.”

Ali, who fled to Germany with his wife and eight children in 2019, is currently in custody and faces attempted murder charges.

He was already known to police for violence, including a previous assault that led to a temporary ban from his apartment.

He frequently told his daughters that he wanted to live in a country where “people applaud him when he kills his daughter, not in a country where he goes to prison for it.”

At the heart of this tragic story lies a reminder of the universal and non-negotiable rights of every child. Children have the right to life, to protection from violence, and to grow up free from fear and oppression. The bravery of the 17-year-old who stood up for his sister is a testament to the enduring truth that the protection of children must come before all else.
