The event, organized by ex-queen Naomi, the former wife of Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, was held at Basorun Islamic High School.

In a statement released on Wednesday, the state Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Dotun Oyelade, confirmed the incident and expressed deep sorrow over the loss. He emphasized that the stampede took place at a private children’s funfair, highlighting the need for better safety measures at such events.
