16-Year-Old Nigerian Student Becomes Youngest Chartered Accountant, Inspires New Generation

Sixteen-year-old Osasere Okundaye has made history as Nigeria’s youngest chartered accountant, earning national recognition for her outstanding academic achievement and determination.

The young student’s success has been celebrated as an example of what children and young people can achieve with dedication, discipline and the right support system.

Minister of Youth Development, Ayodele Olawande, congratulated Okundaye, describing her accomplishment as a reflection of the talent and potential among Nigerian youths.

The 16-year-old’s record comes a year after another young Nigerian, Temilola Blossom Arise, achieved success in the professional examinations of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN).
