The Federal Government has denied paying any ransom for the release of 137 pupils kidnapped from Kuriga, Chikun Local Government Area, Kaduna State. Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, reaffirmed on Monday that President Bola Tinubu is committed to a no-ransom policy. The children, abducted on March 7, were rescued after 17 days in captivity. However, Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani reported that a teacher abducted with the children died in captivity due to health complications.
