Eight individuals tragically lost their lives in an auto crash on Friday along the Omu-Aran-Ilorin Highway in Kwara State. The accident involved an articulated vehicle and a bus, occurring at Oke-Onigbin in Irepodun Local Government Area. Mr. Stephen Dawulung, the Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps in Kwara, reported that the collision happened at night. Preliminary investigations revealed that the crash occurred when an Ilorin-bound Mitsubishi bus attempted to overtake another bus, resulting in a head-on collision with the articulated vehicle. The collision claimed the lives of eight individuals on the spot, including one male adult, three female adults, and four children.
