The Initiative for Information, Arts and Culture Development (IACD) is organizing an exhibition involving over 80 schools to commemorate the 90th birthday of Nobel Laureate Prof. Wole Soyinka in Ibadan. Scheduled from July 2 to July 31, the month-long event aims to showcase Soyinka’s impactful life to both public and private school students through various programs including performances, stage plays, and readings. The exhibition will be held at IACD premises on Magazine Road, Jericho, featuring visuals, memorabilia, and thematic storytelling about Soyinka’s life as a playwright, artist, guitarist, and advocate of fair play. The goal is to inspire students and the public alike, fostering a renewed interest in scholarship and creativity akin to Soyinka’s legacy.
