A Lagos State Sexual Offences & Domestic Violence Court Sentenced, Oluwafemi Asekeji to Life Imprisonment for Defiling his 12 Year Old Daughter. Justice Abiola Soladoye presided over the case and delivered the judgment. The court found that the prosecution had proven the three elements of the charge of defilement. The incident occurred on June 11, 2020, when the victim was 12 years old (she was 14 at the time of testimony). Asekeji, who was drunk at the time, instructed his daughter to undress and lie on the bed, then proceeded to defile her. Asekeji’s name will be registered in the Lagos State Sexual Offenders Register.
