The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) conducted the foreign component of the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) successfully in eight countries on July 13. These exams were tailored for foreign candidates seeking admission into Nigerian tertiary institutions. Cities where the exams took place include London (UK), Jeddah (Saudi Arabia), Buea (Cameroon), Accra (Ghana), Cotonou (Benin Republic), Johannesburg (South Africa), Abidjan (Cote D’Ivoire), and Banjul (The Gambia). JAMB aims to internationalize Nigerian universities and attract global students, integrating international student admissions as a criterion for its NATAP M-Award. JAMB also announced the commencement of the 2024 admission exercise following preparations concluded for the Admission Policy Meeting on July 18.
