Rakim Akbari, a 3-year-old boy with autism, was found dead on Thursday after going missing from the Sheraton Vistana Resort Villas near Walt Disney World in Florida. Rakim had wandered away from the resort in the morning, and despite a missing child alert issued by the Orange County Sheriff’s Office, his body was discovered in a body of water at the resort later that afternoon. Authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding his death. The sheriff’s office expressed condolences to the grieving family.
