NASA Continues Advancing STEM for Students Through New Partnership

NASA and the Hispanic Heritage Foundation have signed a Space Act Agreement to enhance STEM opportunities for Latino K-12 and university students. This partnership aims to reduce barriers to NASA’s activities and expand access to STEM education for underrepresented communities. Deputy Administrator Pam Melroy emphasized the agreement’s role in fostering innovation and building a diverse workforce in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. As part of the initiative, the Hispanic Heritage Foundation will integrate NASA’s STEM resources into its Latinos on the Fast Track (LOFT) program, which supports young Latino professionals. NASA will provide access to aerospace professionals for curriculum development and mentorship.
