A Texas woman, Yanira Prado, 22, has been charged with capital murder after a medical examiner determined that the newborn baby found deceased in her toilet was alive at birth.
Police allege that Prado ‘knowingly and willfully’ drowned the baby, while Prado insists that she ‘didn’t know’ about the pregnancy. Prado is currently being held at the Ector County Law Enforcement Center on $1 million bail for charges of capital murder, tampering with evidence, and an immigration charge.
