< 1 min read

A Kentucky man was indicted on January 17, after he was accused of pretending to be the father of a teenager to check her out of school.

Court documents state that 43-year-old Justin Stephens, of Kentucky, was arrested in October 2024, and charged with second-degree rape, traveling to meet a child for sex and enticing a child to enter a vehicle or house.

The documents say that Stephens called the girl’s school claiming to be her father and telling them he needed to check her out of class.

Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Office Sergeant Casson said Stephens had been messaging with the girl for a while.
