A school board decision sparked outrage in Cumberland County after a meeting Thursday night.
The Cumberland County Schools Board of Education voted 5-4 against renewing Director of Schools William Stepp’s contract.
Some parents were shocked at the decision, after they say he’s had a positive impact.
“I was a student in the Cumberland County school system, I’ve had children in the Cumberland County school system for 11 years and Director Stepp is the best director we have ever seen in Cumberland County,” Stage Ward said.
